Understanding the NLRB's New Burden-Shifting Standard for Employer Work Rules and Employee Handbooks
In Stericycle, Inc., the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) upended the standard for evaluating whether a work rule infringes upon employees' rights under Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act and adopted a new burden-shifting standard that turns on whether a work rule could reasonably be interpreted to chill employees' Section 7 activity. This webinar will offer key takeaways for employers—both unionized and non-union—to consider in amending or drafting new rules and employee handbooks in light of the NLRB's new standard.
