MN: Minnesota’s CROWN Act, Affirmative Action and Other Developments in Race Discrimination Law

Fredrikson attorney Janet Olawsky will discuss Minnesota’s recently passed CROWN Act, which expands the definition of “race” under the Minnesota Human Rights Act to include “traits associated with race, including but not limited to hair texture and hair styles such as braids, locs and twists.”

We will also discuss the potential implications of the affirmative action cases before the United States Supreme Court, and other developments in race discrimination law.
