COVID-19 and OSHA—Keeping the Camel's Nose Out From Under the Tent

Presented by John C. Artz (Pittsburgh) Frank D. Davis (Dallas)

Description

Amid press reports that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has played a low-profile role during the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal agency is ramping up its response to the crisis. OSHA has been actively launching COVID-19 “virtual” inspections in response to complaints and conducting rapid response investigations (RRIs) in the event of reports of COVID-19-related hospitalizations and even, in some cases, fatalities. In this webinar, the speakers will focus on the facts and circumstances that often trigger virtual inspections or RRIs and discuss the steps employers can take to satisfy OSHA’s inquiries without inviting on-site inspections. This OSHA Hour, part of an ongoing series, will also cover tips for limiting the scope of both virtual and on-site COVID-19 inspections.
