Meredith Brenton is an associate in the firm’s Columbia office representing employers in a variety of labor and employment maters, including claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She also handles matters related to OFCCP compliance, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance, and representing private colleges and universities in matters relating to employment and faculty and student issues.

During law school, Meredith was a vice-chair of the Moot Court Board and served as a student attorney in the Community Legal Practice Center, where she assisted clients with family law matters, property disputes, and the formation of non-profits. Additionally, Meredith was an intern at the Department of Justice Civil Division, Federal Programs Branch in Washington, D.C.

Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Meredith was a litigation attorney at a Columbia-based firm where she practiced civil insurance defense. Prior to entering private practice she served as a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Lockemy on the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
