The Part 541 Overtime Rule: What the New Earnings Thresholds Are and What They Mean for Employers

On September 24, 2019, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) issued its long-awaited final rule revising the part 541 overtime regulations that define the executive, administrative, professional, outside sales, and computer employee exemptions from overtime and minimum wage requirements contained in section 13(a)(1) of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The final rule is significant both for what it includes and for what it does not propose to accomplish. Our speakers will discuss the details of the final rule and examine how the new minimum salary requirements may impact your business.
