Posting requirements

 

Numerous state and federal laws require employers to post notices in the workplace in a conspicuous location where they are accessible to employees. Some posters should be displayed in the primary language that employees speak. Failure to post such notices is a violation of the particular law. This summary outlines general requirements. Additional postings may be required for certain industries and occupations. See Directory of government agencies, for addresses and phone numbers of agencies identified below.

Required for all employers

  • Know your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal - This poster replaced the previous EEO: It's the Law poster and is provided by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The notice is available at:
